Summer school on Smart Materials, Structures & Systems

The 3rd International Summer School on Smart Materials, Structures & Systems. From nano- to macro-scale will be held in Trento, July 21-25 at the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Trento, via Verdi 26.

The scope of the School is to provide a basic overview of smart technologies from a cross-disciplinary perspective with special focus on biomimicry, nano- and micro-technolologies, fiber optics sensors, control devices, NDT evaluation, decision making.

Graduate students and post-doc researchers pursuing research in the field of new technologies applied to structural health monitoring and control.

The School offers 10 scholarships to support participation of international students. The program is open to PhD students, currently enrolled in an engineering or related program, and to postdoctoral fellows.
The scholarship will cover the school registration fee (€ 400).
